Well, here we are again, back at the Thruway for the Eternity Well,

but this time we're at the start of Level 2.

The Eternity Well,

the place where we can find the unchanged words of Allah

as they were revealed to Muhammad the Messenger more than 1400 years ago.

And the words of the Qur'an that we find here

are not only magical but beautiful.

And the people that gathered around the Messenger

to hear those words as they came from his mouth

found them amazing and like nothing they had ever heard before,

more beautiful than the finest poetry ever written in the Arabic language.

But not only were the words beautiful, but they spoke about what was happening in their lives,

commenting on what had happened in the past

and telling them how to deal with their lives as they unfolded before them.

The Message was about their history,

but also about what was happening to them at the time.

Of course we don't have that same direct involvement of the Qur'an in the life of the muslim community

as did those who were companions of the Messenger,

but still today the words can change the lives of anyone who lets them,

just as they have been central to the lives of millions of muslims in history

who have kept the Qur'an safe and cherished in their hearts.

For over 1400 years muslims have loved these words and held them in awe and wonder.

And as we read them and write them

and do our best to understand them, as we grow

we come to understand the way that they have meaning in our own lives.

When the Qur'an is in our hearts,

our own lives are also changed by the words of our Creator,

the words that Allah spoke to humankind

through the lips of Muhammad the Messenger.
