the Fount-of-All-Mercy
the Ever-Merciful
blessed be Hu
in Hu's hand is the Realm
Hu is powerful
over everything
Hu created death and life
to test you
to see which of you
is fairest in what you do
and Hu is
the All-Powerful
the Most-Forgiving
Hu created seven heavens
one upon another
you do not see any flaw
in the creation of
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
look again
do you see any cracks?
then look again and again
your sight comes back to you
dazzled and weary
and We decorated
the lower heaven
with lamps
and made them things
to stone Satans
We have prepared for them
the punishment of the Blaze
and for those who are
ungrateful to their Liege
there is waiting
the punishment of Hell
an evil homecoming
when they are thrown into it
they will hear it sighing
while it boils
almost bursting apart
with rage
as often as a group is
thrown into it
its keepers ask them
"Did no warner come to you?"
they say
"Yes a warner came to us
but we said it was lies
saying
'God has not
sent down anything
you have made
a great mistake'"
they also say
"If only we had heard
or had understood
we would not have been
the companions of the Blaze"
so they confessed
the wrong they did
away with those who are
the companions of the Blaze
surely those who
fear their Liege
in the unseen
there waits for them
forgiveness
and a great reward
be secret in your speech
or say it out loud
Hu knows the thoughts
within the breast
will Hu not know
what Hu created?
and Hu is
the Subtle
the All-Aware
Hu made the earth
easy to manage
for you
so walk in its paths
and eat of what Hu provides
to Hu is the Rising
do you feel safe
that Hu in heaven
will not make the earth
swallow you
while it rocks
from side to side?
do you feel safe
that Hu in heaven
will not set loose against you
a rain of stones?
then you will know
how true My warning is
those that were before them
also called it lies
and how was My horror
have they not looked at
the birds above them
opening their wings
and closing them?
nothing holds them
but the Fount-of-All-Mercy
surely Hu sees everything
or who is there
that can be a force for you
to help you
apart from
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
those who are ungrateful
have only been misled
or who is there
who will provide for you
if Hu holds back
Hu's providing?
but they are still
determined to stay
without respect
and avoid the truth
are those who crawl
upon their faces
better guided
than those who walk upright
on a straight path?
say
"It is Hu
brought you into being
and gave you hearing
and sight and hearts
little thanks you show"
say
"It is Hu
scattered you
across the earth
and to Hu
you will be gathered"
they say
"When will this promise
come to pass
if you speak truly?"
say
"That knowledge is with God
I am only a clear warner"
then when they see it
close to them
the faces of those who are
ungrateful
will be troubled
and it will be said
"This is
what you were promised"
say
"What do you think?
if God destroys me
and those with me
or has mercy on us
who will protect
those who are ungrateful
from a painful punishment?"
say
"Hu is
the Fount-of-All-Mercy
We believe in Hu
and in Hu we put our trust
surely
you will soon know
who has clearly taken
the wrong way"
say
"What do you think?
if in the morning
your water has vanished
into the earth
who would bring you
running water?
